Skunk are a much more speciality animal.
Not every veterinarian First of all, has ever come in contact with a Skunk .
Secondly, most vets DO NOT WISH to care for skunk.
We do however, have a list of veterinarians that WILL CARE for these animals.
We DO want it to be understood, that WE ARE NOT getting any type of compensation from any of the veterinarians
that we know that will care for your animal.
Our list is to help YOU THE CONSUMER
If you know of other veterinarians other than the list we will give you please let us know and we will gladly
add that veterinarian to the list. Thanks for your help .
Generally, people as soon as they hear the word "SKUNK" they cringe.
Almost everyone has smelled this really nasty smell that the skunk has left along the side of a roadway.
Our Skunks ARE DE-SCENTED, so there is no more bad smell.
Believe it or not a skunk makes a really great pet.
Skunks also are great for people who are allergic to other types of animals like dogs and cats.
The more attention you give a skunk the happier it will be.
When a Skunk is stomping and playing with you the skunk is a happy skunk.
The following is just to give you a general idea about skunks.
We will give you a more complete care plan when you receive your animal.
Step 1
We recommend that you do your research to MAKE SURE that the state you live in allows skunks.
Some states DO NOT ALLOW SKUNKS TO BE IMPORTED into their state
but can be bought from a breeder in that state like for example, Michigan.
Other states do not allow skunks at all.
The laws on ownership of skunks change all of the time so please check.
WE SELL ONLY TO LEGAL STATES and you have to obtain a permit to own a skunk.
Step 2
Find a Veterinarian for your skunk.
Step 3
SKUNKS HAVE NO HOMING SKILLS
Skunk proof (Child proof) your house.
Have a nest box or place your skunk to sleep (give it an old shirt they will make their own bed.)
Step 4
As far as care for a skunk many people have their own ideas of what is the "Right Thing" to feed a skunk.
We feed our skunks a meat based dog food and supplement with other things. DO NOT OVER FEED your skunk.
We have a variety of skunk colors to choose from we have spotted skunks, albino skunks, chocolate skunks and regular black and white skunks to choose from. Here are a few pictures of the skunks.
